Good design always requires a holistic viewpoint. Take a step back, consider all the details from above, and you get a better perspective on how to deal with problems up close. That’s precisely how SolarEdge developed its distributed approach which maximizes Solar PV performance.

Cleantech 2009 is an annual Israeli conference that includes exhibitors of all clean technology arenas, including energy wind and water, discussing topics of green building, water technologies and solar energy. In its 13thyear at the IsraelTradeFairCenterin Tel-Aviv, the conference is sponsored by The Industrialists union and expects over 100 companies to exhibit and 15,000 visitors from Israeland abroad to attend.
SolarEdge will receive "The Exceptional Product in the Environmental Protection Arena" award for the company’s PV panel-integrated power harvesting system, which can be embedded in practically all types of solar panels and maximizes power generation throughout the solar lifecycle while dramatically reducing complexities and costs.
“We are excited to see our unique holistic approach already getting the attention of the industry, including this award,” said Guy Sella, chairman, CEO and founder of SolarEdge. “Clearly we have identified problems that are significant and are glad that the industry is recognizing there is a better way than traditional PV implementations. As we continue to work with leading panel manufactures to embed our innovative solution, together we can make PV more affordable and pave a faster way to grid parity.”
About SolarEdge
SolarEdge is a provider of smart, holistic PV power harvesting and monitoring solutions for maximum energy and cost efficiency. The company works with industry-leading partners to embed its active electronic solution directly into PV panels. Unlike centralized architectures that cannot optimize the power of each panel, only SolarEdge performs MPPT per panel while communicating across existing power lines for granular visibility and control. As a result, the SolarEdge systemic holistic approach provides more power from any given installation, eliminates design constraints, provides complete visibility, solves all safety issues and provides anti-theft without increasing power harvesting costs.
