String Monitoring
SolarEdge’s string PV monitoring solution introduces a new level of solar field maintenance. Monitored string data is transmitted from monitored strings over the existing PV power lines towards the cluster cabinet box, from where it is wirelessly sent to a central datalogger and over the internet to a remote server. Users can access the system through a web portal. SolarEdge string monitoring can be applied to virtually any module type, and does not require the use of SolarEdge PowerBoxes™, inverter or any added wiring. Feature highlights:
- Enhance field operation with pinpoint fault detection accuracy
- Less downtime, more power, better cost of ownership
- Ideal for large solar plants
- Sophisticated fault detection with no added wiring
- Advanced nighttime anti-theft capabilities
- Tracks technical and financial performance of one or more SolarEdge PV systems
- The solar monitoring software enables logical and physical PV site visualization at string level
- Near real-time data as well as historical and aggregated data, comparative analysis diagnostics and a guided root-cause fault analysis
- Configurable rule engine automatically detects problems, issues status reports and alerts via e-mail, and provides recommendations and suggested solutions
- All data is logged and can be securely reviewed and analyzed at any time from any location
