Mr. Meir Gazit is Chief Technology Officer of SolarEdge Technologies, where he utilizes his vast experience in the fields of power electronics, analog IC development, and communications to overcome the challenges that arise during research and development processes.

Prior to joining SolarEdge Technologies, Mr. Gazit was Director of Technology for Vishay Siliconix, where his responsibilities included power system definition and Power IC definition. Before that he spent two years as VP Technologies at Vishay RFWaves division and 4 years as CTO at RFWaves prior to its acquisition by Vishay. His responsibilities included system design and feasibility proof of RF products, RFIC chip design, SAW design, antenna design, RF protocol definitions and the design of low cost, high efficiency DC blocks.

Mr. Gazit started his career by serving for seven years with the Electronics Research Department (ERD) of the Intelligence Corps as Group leader of a team that developed power electronic systems. During his service he led all aspects of product development – from system consolidation to development and implementation of complex electronic modules. He personally devised several technological breakthroughs that enabled the products' success.

Mr. Gazit holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (summa cum laude) and a B.A in Physics (summa cum laude) from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa.
