Mr. Meir Adest's responsibilities include management of the company’s IPR portfolio, overseeing of certification and long-term reliability of SolarEdge products, and research of future technologies to be used by the company.

Prior to joining SolarEdge Technologies, Mr. Adest served for 7 years with the Electronics Research Department (ERD) of the Intelligence Corps, where he held a number of positions – starting as an embedded software engineer for mission-critical systems, progressing to the position of a software team leader, managing a large-scale techno-operational project, and finally managing a multi-disciplinary section with approximately 25 hardware and software engineers.

Prior to his service in the ERD, Mr. Adest served for two years as a researcher in an R&D unit of the Israeli Air Force, focusing on operations research. For achievements throughout his services, Mr. Adest received the Director of Intelligence Technological Innovation Award in 2002, and is an Israel Defense Award laureate for 2004.

Mr. Adest holds a B.Sc in mathematics, physics, and computer science from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and is a graduate of the prestigious IDF Talpiot program.
