ASIC Junior Layout Designer

Job Description

Our own developed application processors, power controller, PMIC stand at the heart of the company innovation. Joining SolarEdge’s ASIC team will give you the unique opportunity to engage in the entire chip definition and development flow, combining digital and analog circuit designs, from system and architecture till ramp to production.

We are looking for smart and firs Junior Electronics Engineers/Practical Engineers to join our Analog Design team as Junior Layout Designers.

The Layout Design team is responsible for the custom Integrated Circuit (IC) layout of our Hardware products. You will work alongside our Analog engineers on Power, Analog, Digital, and Communication circuits in various manufacturing technologies. 

We work in a dynamic environment, on multiple projects, and have interesting challenges every day.

What you will be doing: 

•Floor Planning, creating and verifying custom Layout designs of microelectronic Integrated Circuits, from the transistor to the Full Chip level.

•Working on Cadence Virtuoso design environment.

•Validating and debugging your work on the Mentor Graphics (Seimens EDA) Calibre verification environment.

•Basic CAD (IT) maintenance in a Unix-based environment.

•Working in a young and vibrant work environment alongside top-notch engineers.

•You will be encouraged to evolve, show initiative and take charge.

•Training and mentoring will be provided.

Requirements:

•Practical Electronics Engineer – a must.

•BSc in Electrical Engineering – a Major advantage.

•Basic understanding of microelectronics, manufacturing, and physical design concepts - an advantage.

•Experience with high power circuits - an advantage.

•Basic Linux, IT, and coding skills - an advantage.

•English proficiency.

•Sharp minded quick learners, open to new ideas and concepts. You’ll learn something new every day in complex design environments.

•Highly Responsible, pushing for excellence, and with a positive can-do attitude. 

•Team Players with good interpersonal skills.
