Machinery and Automation Engineer Team Leader

We are looking for a Machinery and Automation Team Leader – Electronic product assembly and automation assembly operations to join our team located in Guadalajara, Mexico. This position reports to the Director of Manufacturing and is responsible, through subordinate and matrix management, for the output, operation and maintenance of automation equipment and machinery.


What will you be doing:

  • Run team of Automation Engineer and Technician Which implement, run and maintenance automation and machinery at site.
  • Develop and implement production equipment according to specification coming from Process Engineering and Research & Development departments.
  • Coordinate and execute automation projects with external integrators- upgrades, new features etc.
  • Organize FAT(Factory Acceptance Test) for outsourced equipment;
  • Support Process Engineering department during Operational Qualifications (OQ);
  • Analyze, scout and propose innovative solutions including robots, cobots, vision systems, real time traceability, performance monitoring (FPY), trouble shooting and improvement OEE
  • Create and maintain constantly updated the equipment Device Master Record (DMR);
  • Manage resources, time schedules and budget for Automation dept. and related projects;
  • Cooperate with manufacturing teams and develop continuous improvement projects: feasibility study, quotations, resources, time schedules;
  • Ensure that the risk analysis is performed, coordinate the Installation Qualification (IQ) and check the accordance with Technical Specification.
  • Managing all maintenance activity, responsible for spare part budget and availability.

 

 Requirements:

  • Bsc Machinery/Electronic Engineering
  • At least 8 years in production plants or system integrators with specific knowledge in automation and management of complex machines.
  • Management experience of multidisciplinary team of integration , maintenance , production output.
  • Solid experience of automatic equipment design, preferably in industrial segment.
  • Knowledge of the main mechanical, electrical, software, pneumatic and hydraulic systems;
  • Knowledge of CAD 3D (PRO-E preferably);
  • Knowledge of the main machine validation methods;
  • Knowledge of design criteria FMEA/FMECA;
  • Experience of team management and outsourcing projects;
  • Creative, “Out Of Box” thinking, Multi-tasking. Self-motivated, self-maintained and able to take the initiative to solve problems.
  • Good knowledge of English written and spoken.
