Automation Software Engineer

Job Description

SolarEdge is a top global leader, manufacturing smart energy solutions. The company's broad range of products includes intelligent inverter and storage systems & revolutionary EV chargers. At Solaredge, we are changing the way electricity is produced and consumed around the world.

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated individual to help develop automation capabilities for product reliability testing and validation systems.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Conceptualize, design and develop automation for tools and processes that simulate the operating life and reliability of our products
  • Create SW platforms/programs for system and data analysis
  • Develop Software to automate tests, drivers, protocols for SW/HW
  • Analyze needs and tailor-design software solutions using a problem-solving approach
  • Create and analyze visual diagrams and methods that communicate the necessary code components to other team members and explain how they might function together
  • Collaborate with other teams of software engineers, designers to optimize software solutions

  

Requirements

  • Education: B.Sc. in Computer Science or Software Engineering - Must
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Automation tool development - Must
  • Experience with design patterns and .Net frameworks in C# - Must
  • Design, Development, and Integration of C# based code modules
  • Understanding of communication protocols USB, RS232/RS485, CanBus,TCP/UDP/IP -
  • Experience in creating software specification documents
  • Good knowledge of lab test equipment and measuring systems, for example test chambers, Spectrum Analyzer, sensors, electronic loads and power supplies.  
  • Experience with Agile, scrum methodology – Strong advantage

 

Additional Skills:

  • Excellent English & communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Analytical approach and good understanding of scientific method and best engineering practices
  • Strong ability to multi-task and work according to priorities
  • Good problem solver, capable of finding creative and effective solutions
  • Work well both independently and in a team
  • Ability to learn quickly and autonomously
