    Job Description

    Solaredge is looking for an ambitious, tech-savvy and hungry go-getter Sales Manager to join our outstanding Japan team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing different partner’s business and for developing successful sales strategies including negotiating supply agreements, providing product training, introduction of new products and managing day-to-day business for the residential sector. If you are hands-on energetic, highly motivated, a real team-player and driven person who is willing to roll up sleeves and do your best to guarantee the success of the company and help drive SolarEdge revenue and market share, this position is for you!


    What will you be doing:

    • Identify and close sales opportunities for the residential PV market in accordance with the Company’s overall strategic plans and financial objectives in the region
    • Develop and maintain relationships with solar distribution channels and strategic accounts
    • Actively pursue direct sales leads with installers, distributors and utility companies
    • Provide revenue forecasts and review sales results to ensure targets are being met; take corrective action where required
    • Nurture the relationship with leading PV project developers at all levels to ensure that SolarEdge remains the supplier of choice for their installations
    • Maintain accurate and up to date customer records in the company CRM system
    • Assist the product management teams to define and improve the product portfolio for use in the Japanese market by regularly gathering feedback from customers, business partners and closely monitoring industry trends
    • Provide input regarding marketing and product positioning strategies specific to the territory
    • Successfully execute our brand and messaging strategy and act as an external evangelist of the brand
    • Attend tradeshows and conferences
    • Liaise with the local and international teams to ensure that sales targets are being defined and met


    Requirements:

    • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a sales organization
    • Experience in the Energy/Solar market in Japan- Strongly preferred!
    • Previous experience in the PV industry – a plus!
    • Solid and verifiable track record of overachievement and successfully growing market share and identifying, negotiating/converting and closing large dollar deals
    • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand the technical workings of the SolarEdge product line and convey the advanced technical product benefits to potential customers in easy-to-grasp terms. 
    • Ability to identify and convert new accounts while maintaining existing relationships
    • Demonstrated success in operating effectively in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, complex, rapid growth environment
    • A distinct customer service focus. 
    • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.  
    • Experience working for an international organization – a plus!
    • Fluent in Japanese and reading/writing in English – a must!
    • Speaking English is advantage

    Job Description

    Solaredge is looking for a committed, flexible, performance-oriented and self-responsible reinforcement in the field of Technical Marketing Director to join our Japan team. As a specialist in Technical Marketing, you will work directly with the Sales Team and customers and will be the first point of contact for technical questions for our customers and for organizational interfaces regarding technical questions. You will be part of the Global Product management team and represent the Japanese market requirements for new products, features and regulations. This requires a high level of flexibility, motivation and reliability.

    Based in Yokohama

    What will you do?

    • Point of contact for sales and direct customers for product-related questions
    • Suggest technical solutions for product applications
    • Represent the Japanese market requirements for new products, features and regulations
    • Development, maintenance and further development of product-related training documents and training tools
    • Expansion and maintenance of contacts with energy suppliers and grid operators as well as industry committees
    • Development and implementation of structured qualification measures in sales (product training)
    • Conduct customer training via online tools or on-site support at the customer's site
    • Updating and revision of technical documentation
    • Collaboration in product and market-related competitor analyses
    • Support for product launches

    Requirements:

    • A BA/BS in a related technical discipline such as Electrical Engineering
    • Experience in PV and/or energy storage- a must
    • Experience managing a team of 2-5 people
    • Strong technical background in both Hardware and Software, preferably from Technical pre-sale or technical account management with strong capability of project management
    • Affinity to technical products and renewable energy - a must!
    • Confident handling of MS Office programs
    • Knowledge of Modbus interfaces and Modbus programming skills – a plus!
    • Fluent in written and spoken native language and English.
    • Independent and proactive working style, commitment, great communication skills
