    We are looking for a Sr. Process Technology Engineer to join our team located in Guadalajara, Mexico. This position reports to the Director of operations.

    The Sr. Process Technology Eng. is required to be an expert in more than 1 process area. This individual will be able to provide DFM and NPI support. They will have the ability to handle multiple products and provide expert advice. In addition, this individual must be able to lead technical issues and resolve them with technical, design, and statistical analysis.

    Sr. Process Technology Eng. is responsible for the implementation, support, training, and troubleshooting of the process being assigned in their facility. This position is assigned to an individual who has extensive experience with the process and is already considered to be the “Specialist” of the process. This individual is responsible for ensuring excellence in the assigned manufacturing process, They will provide expert advice when there is an urgent need due to high defect rates and ensure that the process (that is the responsibility of the SME) is well in control and delivering the highest possible yields.

    What will you be doing:

    • Serve as the functional expert for manufacturing area assigned, SMT, Wave Solder process, etc
    • Support other Engineers with questions that may arise and help resolve them.
    • Coordinate and facilitate training for the plant in terms of new hires, new functionality, and upgrades.
    • Track and communicate all changes/enhancements to existing processes, including upgrades to process.
    • Provide support to the users and the department SME’s.
    • Ensuring the established process is followed diligently
    • Work with Domain Experts ME’s to implement best practices on the site.
    • Carry out methodical machine and process evaluations.
    • Maintain and develop documentation for responsible areas.
    • Participate in the exchange of ideas and information within the department.
    • Support Site when there are audits and customer visits
    • Provide regular updates to appropriate managers.
    • Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes (i.e. elimination of non-value-added factors.
    • Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management.
    • Offer new ideas and suggestions for improvement. Identify and implement new practices and processes that are “best in the field”.
    • Ensure 100% adherence to all company policies and procedures (i.e. Health, Safety, and Quality)
    • Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all areas pertaining to data and proprietary information.

    • Knowledge in Statistics and knowledge of DOE is required.

    • Analyze images of different automatic inspection systems and make decisions vs a standardized image according to our product quality standard.

    El alcance de la posición es conocer y auditar el proceso desde el área de recibo hasta el área de empaque.

    Principales actividades / retos:

    • Liberaciones de primeros artículos de acuerdo a procedimientos y estándares.
    • Revisión de ensambles y subensambles electrónicos para determinar su apego a procedimientos y estándares.
    • Conducir auditorías de proceso, inspeccionar materiales de proveedores para verificar su apego a los requerimientos establecidos por Solar Edge.
    • Generar y actualizar reportes de hallazgos y verificar cierre de acciones de los mismos.
    •  Mediciones de cotas críticas.
    •  Verificar/Inspeccionar la calidad de ensambles/partes retrabajadas.
    •  Verificar/Validar la ejecución de los programas de mantenimiento de herramentales y equipos.
    • Verificar la correcta utilización de plantillas de inspección, instrumentos de medición, herramientas Go/noGo utilizadas para evaluar la calidad del producto.

    Job Requirements

    Estos son los requerimientos que deberás de tener:

    • Disponibilidad para trabajar en 2ndo turno - contamos con transporte.
    • Preparatoria terminada. Estudios (incluso truncos) de carrera técnica o profesional deseables.
    • Al menos 3 años en posiciones similares en empresas de ensambles electrónicos.
    • Certificación en IPC-A-610 requerida. Certificaciones en IPC-A-620, IPC-7011/7021, J-STD-002/003 deseables.
    • Manejo de paquetes computacionales de Microsoft Office.
    • Entendimiento escrito del idioma inglés. Hablar inglés es deseable.
    •  Facilidad de poder rolar turnos y/o trabajar en segundo o tercer turno.

This position reports to the Automation Team Supervisor and is responsible for the output, operation, and maintenance of automation equipment and machinery through subordinate and matrix management.


    What will you be doing:

    • Develop and implement production equipment and tooling according to specification coming from Project and Research & Development departments as well as process requirement;
    • Coordinate automation projects with external integrators;
    • Participate, support and run SAT(Site Acceptance Test) requirement with project team together, and collect and report SAT data;
    • Analyze, find innovative solutions including robots, vision systems, real time traceability, performance monitoring (FPY), trouble shooting and optimize automatic lines to improve both OEE as well as productivity
    • ·Manage resources, budget for Automation dept. and related projects;
    • Manage teams to drive continual improvement in FPY, efficiency and scrap rate to make sure all KPI meet departs’ requirement
    • Managing all maintenance activity, responsible for spare part budget and availability.
    • Monitor daily production activity and input and send daily production report.


    Requirements:

    • Bsc Machinery/Electronic Engineering
    • At least 5-8 years in production plants or system integrators with specific knowledge in automation and management of complex machines.
    • Solid experience of automatic equipment design, preferably in industrial segment.
    • Knowledge of the main mechanical, electrical, software, pneumatic and hydraulic systems;
    • Knowledge of CAD 3D (PRO-E preferably);
