  • Technical Service Engineer - Tier 1×

    Solaredge is seeking a Technical Service Engineer – Tier 1 to join our Taiwanese team. If you are passionate about customer care and love helping them diagnosing and solving technical issues, this position is perfect for you.


    What will you be doing?

    • Answer inbound calls and e-mails from customers and contractors in a prompt, knowledgeable, and courteous manner documenting all information into call tracking system
    • Provide support in the troubleshooting and diagnosis of grid tie solar inverter issues encountered in the installation and start up products by using general knowledge, product schematics, data stored in knowledgebase, and other sources of information available.
    • Work together with operations to validate the authorization to release parts needed to solve problems encountered by customers and contractors.
    • Provide updates to knowledge database used by other technical support representatives with new troubleshooting information discovered in the resolution of customer calls.
    • Manage the monitoring database of customer installations.
    • Document all activity in ticketing system and other database software platforms.
    • Create layouts on the monitoring site at customer’s request
    • Coordinating service & support activities with field service team



    • At least 2 years of experience in professional customer service and in technical helpline or remote support.
    • Basic understanding of IP network technology.
    • Experience with solar electric products.
    • Exceptional listening and questioning skills.
    • Outstanding written communications skills in English.
    • Ability to multitask in a very fast-paced environment.
    • Experience working for an international organization is preferred.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to build rapport and establish/keep working relationships with customers, peers and managers.
    • General understanding of Microsoft Office products and utilize them efficiently while on the phone with a caller.

    What will you be doing?

    • Identify sales opportunities in accordance with the Company’s overall strategic plans and financial objectives in the region
    • Develop and maintain relationships with solar distribution channels and strategic accounts
    • Actively pursue direct sales leads with installers, distributors and utility companies
    • Provide revenue forecasts and review sales results to ensure targets are being met; take corrective action where required
    • Nurture the relationship with leading PV project developers at all levels to ensure that SolarEdge remains the supplier of choice for their installations
    • Maintain accurate and up to date customer records in the company CRM system
    • Assist the product management teams to define and improve the product portfolio for use in the Taiwanese market by regularly gathering feedback from customers, business partners and closely monitoring industry trends
    • Provide input regarding marketing and product positioning strategies specific to the territory
    • Successfully execute our brand and messaging strategy and act as an external evangelist of the brand
    • Attend tradeshows and conferences
    • Liaise with the local and international teams to ensure that sales targets are being defined and met


    • BA/BS degree. BS in a related technical disciplines such as Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering – a plus!
    • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in technical sales
    • Previous experience in the PV industry – a plus!
    • Solid and verifiable track record of overachievement and successfully growing market share and identifying, negotiating/converting and closing large dollar deals
    • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand the technical workings of the SolarEdge product line and convey the advanced technical product benefits to potential customers in easy-to-grasp terms.
    • Ability to identify and convert new accounts while maintaining existing relationships
    • Demonstrated success in operating effectively in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, complex, rapid growth environment
    • A distinct customer service focus.
    • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience working for an international organization – a plus!
    • Fluent in Taiwanese and English – a must!

    This position provides the successful candidate with the opportunity to join the SolarEdge team in Taiwan and have a part in supporting the Company’s objectives in all segments of the solar industry. The Sales & Support Administrator will be responsible to provide end to end sales order and support management services to our sales team and customers within the region. In this position, you will be responsible to monitor millions of $ worth orders and will serve as the focal point for our sales team and customers.

    What will you be doing?​​​​​​

    General Sales & Support Administration

    • Responsible for the processing and archiving of general documents
    • Coordinate with HQ for order entry and processing
    • Organize and regularly provide business sales status reports for reference by business personnel or supervisors
    • Liaise with Sales Operations and logistics to track order status (PO, Order Confirmation, Pickup Date. Shipping status) internally and update to customers
    • Provide shipping documents to assist business personnel to control shipments and handle import and export matters for distributors
    • Send introductory email to customers when getting new leads
    • Administrative support for marketing activities
    • Response and support tasks for communication to marketing team in HQ


    General Administration

    • Personal assistant to Country Manager
    • Coordination of business trips and agendas
    • Travel management for the Country Manager and Taiwan office team
    • Managing meetings, external visits and guests to the company
    • Administration and management of travel expense reports
    • Preparation of incoming invoices for approval
    • Holiday plan and sick days management
    • Purchasing of office supplies and equipment
    • Coordinate and implement relevant sales documentation, such as order, NDA, contract etc.
    • General reception duties within the office
    • Regular communication with HQ in Israel



    • Degree level qualification preferred
    • Previous experience working in a similar position in technology company an advantage
    • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft applications. Experience with priority or SAP
    • Fluency in English, Taiwanese, and Chinese- a MUST!
    • Strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills
    • Able to work independently within deadlines 
    • Self-motivated
    • Very strong written and oral communication skills
    • Excellent people and management skills
