  • Commercial Project Manager×

    Responsibilities: 
     

    • Effectively manage and coordinate commercial project activities in Taiwan. This will include working with the Taiwan SolarEdge team as well as partners, distributors and customers. 
    • The role will report to the Taiwan Country Manager and will be based in Taipei, Taiwan although other locations will be considered for the right candidate. There will be functional ‘dotted line’ accountability to the ROW Commercial Program Manager and the VP ROW Customer Support.
    • For Commercial Projects, SolarEdge provides project management services covering the project from the end of sale to the commissioning and verification of the system. 
    • Establishing relationships with commercial customers/installers in multiple countries as a dedicated POC, providing quick response for customer queries throughout the installation.
    • Develop and implement the project management process in Taiwan, working with local SolarEdge Sales and Support teams. 
    • Tracking the projects through all installation phases, providing feedback while ensuring the EPC has all the necessary information and SolarEdge major milestones are met.
    • Working across departments with all relevant SolarEdge teams to make sure any installation issues and requirements receive a high priority and are escalated as needed.
    • Provide regular or as needed updates to management/HQ regrading upcoming/ongoing projects status and timeline. 
    • Coordinate site visits and onsite technical support during the installation and commissioning of the system.
    • Coordinate and provide training on installation best practice for SolarEdge equipment
    • Provide advice to installers and EPCs on AC and DC installation issues relating to PV systems
    • Verifying project readiness for commissioning and providing close support and monitoring for the activation/commissioning of the system (remote or onsite).
    • Monitoring system 'health' post-commissioning and verifying all pending technical issues are resolved.
    • Become technically proficient with SolarEdge products, troubleshooting and the system commissioning process.
    • Identify and promote issues/features relating to the commercial program across departments 
    • Stay updated on latest commercial features, issues and solutions.

     

    Requirements:
     

    • Master- or Bachelor degree in electrical engineering or equivalent in depth technical expertise.
    • Minimum of 2 years working experience in a project organization or supporting projects within an organization, preferably in the PV sector.
    • Experience in residential and commercial PV system installation
    • Knowledge of AC and DC components of a PV system 
    • Proven track record in project operations, process and productivity improvements.

    What will you be doing?

    • Identify sales opportunities in accordance with the Company’s overall strategic plans and financial objectives in the region
    • Develop and maintain relationships with solar distribution channels and strategic accounts
    • Actively pursue direct sales leads with installers, distributors and utility companies
    • Provide revenue forecasts and review sales results to ensure targets are being met; take corrective action where required
    • Nurture the relationship with leading PV project developers at all levels to ensure that SolarEdge remains the supplier of choice for their installations
    • Maintain accurate and up to date customer records in the company CRM system
    • Assist the product management teams to define and improve the product portfolio for use in the Taiwanese market by regularly gathering feedback from customers, business partners and closely monitoring industry trends
    • Provide input regarding marketing and product positioning strategies specific to the territory
    • Successfully execute our brand and messaging strategy and act as an external evangelist of the brand
    • Attend tradeshows and conferences
    • Liaise with the local and international teams to ensure that sales targets are being defined and met


    Requirements:

    • BA/BS degree. BS in a related technical disciplines such as Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering – a plus!
    • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in technical sales
    • Previous experience in the PV industry – a plus!
    • Solid and verifiable track record of overachievement and successfully growing market share and identifying, negotiating/converting and closing large dollar deals
    • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand the technical workings of the SolarEdge product line and convey the advanced technical product benefits to potential customers in easy-to-grasp terms.
    • Ability to identify and convert new accounts while maintaining existing relationships
    • Demonstrated success in operating effectively in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, complex, rapid growth environment
    • A distinct customer service focus.
    • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.

As a specialist in Technical Marketing, you will work directly with the Sales Team and customers and will be the first point of contact for technical questions for our customers and for organizational interfaces regarding technical questions.     Requirements:
     

    • A BA/BS in a related technical discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering etc.
    • Strong technical background in both Hardware and Software, preferably from Technical pre-sale or technical account management with strong capability of project management
    • Previous experience in the PV industry will be a significant advantage.
    • Affinity to technical products and renewable energy - a must!
    • Confident handling of MS Office programs
    • Programming skills (VBA) are an advantage
    • Knowledge of Modbus interfaces and Modbus programming skills – a plus!
    • Fluent in written and spoken language in Chinese and English.

  • Technical Service Engineer - Tier 1×

    Solaredge is seeking a Technical Service Engineer – Tier 1 to join our Taiwanese team. If you are passionate about customer care and love helping them diagnosing and solving technical issues, this position is perfect for you.

     

    What will you be doing?

    • Answer inbound calls and e-mails from customers and contractors in a prompt, knowledgeable, and courteous manner documenting all information into call tracking system
    • Provide support in the troubleshooting and diagnosis of grid tie solar inverter issues encountered in the installation and start up products by using general knowledge, product schematics, data stored in knowledgebase, and other sources of information available.
    • Work together with operations to validate the authorization to release parts needed to solve problems encountered by customers and contractors.
    • Provide updates to knowledge database used by other technical support representatives with new troubleshooting information discovered in the resolution of customer calls.
    • Manage the monitoring database of customer installations.
    • Document all activity in ticketing system and other database software platforms.
    • Create layouts on the monitoring site at customer’s request
    • Coordinating service & support activities with field service team

     

    Requirements

    • At least 2 years of experience in professional customer service and in technical helpline or remote support.
    • Basic understanding of IP network technology.
    • Experience with solar electric products.
