    Product Description:

    In this role you will work on the SolarEdge Designer product - a CAD web application which allows PV professionals to design a complete PV system from scratch and explore the benefits of the system. The application can model all parts of the system – from the physical environment of the site to the electrical wiring of the devices to the calculation of the energy produced by the system. This allows PV professionals to significantly reduce the amount of time spent on designing a system and evaluating its benefits.


    Job Description:

    On this position you will be a full stack developer of a complex product. For development you will use a state of the art technology stack including Java 8, Spring, Hibernate, Tomcat, MySQL, TypeScript, React and WebGL. Your work will include writing design documents, implementing features, unit testing them and doing bug fixes. As a senior developer, you will lead significant tasks. You may lead 1-2 developers that will join the efforts on those tasks. You will also do code reviews to other team members to keep the code quality high.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
    • At least 6 years of software development

    • Familiarity with the technology stack - Spring, Hibernate, React – Advantage.
    • Experience in doing code reviews and writing technical documentation

    Role Overview

    As part of the QA team you will be involved throughout the development lifecycle of the SolarEdge development team with focus on planning and execution of test cases for the new features and participation in regression testing. Your day to day activities will include creation of test cases, testing and defect reporting, participation in requirements reviews.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Functional, usability and regression test case development
    • Documenting software defects and track them through resolution
    • Regular feedback on the status of quality


    Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

    • Knowledge of test methodologies and techniques
    • Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
    • Experience in developing test cases based on requirements
    • Experience in testing Web and Client/Server applications
