How It Works

  • During periods of high demand, Eversource will slow down your charger's energy use to better support the grid.

  • You stay in control - SolarEdge notifies you prior to an event and you have the ability to opt-out up to two hours ahead of time.

  • Although you'll charge slower, uninterrupted charging is guaranteed for a period of time on the day of the event.

You’ll be notified ahead of time by email. There is a maximum of 15 events allowed per month, which may take place any time of day, Mon-Sun, excluding holidays. However, Eversource guarantees you’ll still get four hours of uninterrupted charging and no less than a total of eight hours of charging between 6pm and 6am each day. You can always opt-out from events by replying before they occur (up to two hours ahead of time).

How will I know if my system responded?

You can view your system and EV charging activity at monitoring.solaredge.com or through the mySolarEdge app.

How much money can I make?

Newcomers to the SolarEdge at-home charging experience will receive $300 upfront for signing onto a 3-year commitment. Those with activated/utilized SolarEdge EV equipment will receive $150 for enrolling in the program, and an added $50 annually for the next two years. That’s $250, total.

Initial $150 payments for already-activated SolarEdge EV equipment users will also be sent by check within 4-6 weeks of enrollment, with two follow up payments of $50 each, to be sent on the anniversary of sign-up (should the participant want to continue).
