Putting Safety First 

Because the PV system was built above the farm's factory where employees work with machinery that cleans and packages fruit, the safety of both employees and the equipment is of utmost importance. SolarEdge was selected for its enhanced safety features that mitigate electrocution and fire risks.

More Power by Design

Passion Lignt Inc. aimed to optimize solar energy generation on the farm's rooftop, despite numerous design constraints such as varying heights, tilts, and shading challenges. By using SolarEdge’s DC optimized solution over a traditional string inverter, they were able to maximize the rooftop space with more modules, increasing the system’s capacity by approximately 27% to 190kW.

With SolarEdge’s commercial PV solution for farms, Passion Lignt Inc. was able to increase the system size by 117 modules and provide additional FiT revenue of $513 NTD per day, or $187,534 per year over a 20-year period.
