Historic Salt Production Plant

Shinfox Power signed a 20-year lease agreement for a government-owned abandoned salt production plant the size of 559,705 sq meter plot (equivalent to 78 soccer fields). This was an ideal location to build a 77 MW PV project.

Torrential rainstorms are of major concern as they cause retention ponds in the site that pose an electrocution risk to maintenance crews. SolarEdge’s IP65-rated inverters are water and humidity resistant, and they comply with the UL 1699B standard for Arc Fault Circuit Protection. In addition, the built-in SafeDC™ feature can automatically drop the voltage of each module to touch-safe levels.

SolarEdge was selected for its proven ability to maximize energy production and save O&M costs. With over 22,000 modules, maximizing energy output and minimizing power losses caused by module-level mismatch can avoid significant revenue loss.

O&M personnel can quickly pinpoint issues through the SolarEdge Monitoring Platform, often troubleshooting remotely instead of on-site. It also spares additional costs of thermal imaging drone cameras typically used for site inspection, potentially saving up to 50% in overall O&M costs.
