Wherever the Firefighter Gateway is installed, firefighters can immediately stop production of a SolarEdge PV system, either manually through an emergency stop button or automatically through a fire alarm control panel system. This automatically reduces string voltage to a safe voltage using the unique SolarEdge SafeDC™ feature.

Maximum Flexibility with Two Modes of Operation

In Manual Mode, the system can be manually shut down in non-emergency situations
In Automatic Mode, shutdown occurs automatically when the fire alarm control panel is triggered.
No external interaction is required. Once activated, the Firefighter Gateway signals to the SolarEdge Monitoring Platform that the solar PV system has been shut down, and an alert will be generated.
