Is the SolarEdge TerraMax™ system suitable for uneven or complex terrains?

Yes. TerraMax is ideal for sloped, irregular, or dual-use terrains such as agricultural fields or water bodies, thanks to design flexibility that enables longer strings of up to 80 modules, supports strings of uneven lengths and allows the mixing of PV module types in the same string. This all results in shorter cabling and less overall equipment. TerraMax also supports both centralized and distributed topologies, making it perfect for challenging PV sites.

What makes system commissioning faster with TerraMax?

The SolarEdge TerraMax™ Inverter introduces innovative capabilities designed to overcome numerous installation challenges typical of large-scale PV projects, significantly streamlining and improving the overall installation experience.

The system supports pre-commissioning using DC power only, before AC power is available, shortening the site’s overall connection time. Grid connection or power banks are not required. Central commissioning allows settings to be applied to all inverters via a leader-follower topology, reducing setup time and errors. And High Frequency Power Line Communication (HFPLC) reduce overall installation time and costs through faster inverter-Power Optimizer pairing and fast firmware upgrades.
