What is APS Storage Rewards?
APS Storage Rewards is a utility program pilot that compensates customers for sharing energy with the grid as needed. Customers earn payments on a performance basis for the average kilowatts (kW) they share from their storage system during dispatch events.
Am I eligible to enroll in the APS Storage Rewards program?
To be eligible to enroll, you must:
- Be an APS residential electric customer (with the electric service in your name)
- Own a qualifying installed SolarEdge Home Battery
- Consent to let SolarEdge periodically adjust your battery’s charge and discharge schedules
- Maintain a reliable internet connection between the SolarEdge Monitoring Portal and your SolarEdge Home Battery
How much money can I earn with the APS Storage Rewards program?
Participants are eligible for incentives of $110 per kW based on average performance across all events during the season (May 1 – October 31).
Example: A customer with a standard battery system (e.g., 9.7 kWh) can expect to receive approximately $330.00 with an average discharge of 3.0 kW.
Note: Incentives are performance-based and may vary depending on actual discharge during events.
Will I be notified about events?
Yes! You will be notified by email when an event is scheduled. Events can be scheduled between 24 hours and 30 min in advance of the event start time. The event notification email will give you an opportunity to opt-out of the event.
When and how often will my battery be used?

Are there penalties for underperformance/opting out?
No. You decide the amount of energy you want your battery to participate. The more you participate, the more you receive. If you opt out, your average kW and performance payment will be reduced.

Can I participate with an existing SolarEdge Home Battery?
Yes! If you meet the eligibility requirements and have a current Home Battery model, you can enroll.
Can I unenroll from the program at any time?
Yes. APS customers can unenroll from the APS Storage Rewards program at any time.
