How Incentives Work
Payments are based on your performance, not a flat rate. The more energy your battery shares during events, the more you may earn.

9.7kWh SE battery could receive around $150 in one summer season if the system delivers an average discharge of 3kW during events.
(Calculation: (9.7 kWh x 80 percent) / 3 hours x $50/kW = $125-$150)

You are eligible if you:
- Own an installed and operational SolarEdge Home Battery.
- Have an active National Grid electric account.
- Enroll through the approved online or in-app form.
Enrollment is simple and quick. Once you are accepted, your battery automatically participates in events during the summer season.

FAQ’s
Will I still have backup power during outages?
Yes. We will always reserve at least 20% of your battery energy for backup.
What happens if I do not want to take part in an event?
You are always in control. You can opt out at any time, but your incentive may be lower if you participate less often.
How often will events happen?
Events are limited to the summer season, May through September. They can occur on weekdays or weekends, and you will always receive 21 hours notice.
Do I need to take any action during events?
No. Your SolarEdge Home Battery will respond automatically when National Grid calls an event.
How much money can I make?
Incentives are performance based. Actual amounts depend on your storage size and how much energy you share during events.
