The Smart Solution to Power Your Business

Why It Makes Sense to Run on Sun?

There has never been a better time to go solar. Save up to tens of thousands per year on rising electricity costs by running more of your business on clean energy.

And, as the government introduces more CO2 emissions policies to combat climate change, regional utilities are offering companies huge installation incentives to go green, along with cash back for sharing solar with the grid.

Meet the growing consumer and investor demand for more greener business initiatives with a solution that keeps costs low and supports a healthier community.

Why It Makes Sense to Run on Sun

SolarEdge has helped companies of all sizes move to cost-effective, clean renewable energy systems through a broad range of projects:

  • Commercial rooftops, including carports, gas stations, shopping centers, and hotels
  • Industrial rooftops, including manufacturing sites, factories, and cold storage facilities
  • Public buildings, including schools and universities, municipalities, and hospitals.
  • Agriculture (agrivoltaics)
  • Floating systems (flotovoltaics)
Profitable and clean renewable energy
Why SolarEdge Solar Solutions
Better Bottom Line icon
Better Bottom Line

SolarEdge enables more energy generation from each solar module by mitigating power losses that result from mismatch between modules. With SolarEdge, weaker modules do not affect the performance of strong ones. The SolarEdge system is future proofed against potential risks that can cause decreased lifetime energy production.

Safety First icon
Safety First

Compliant with the most advanced safety standards, SolarEdge’s SafeDC™ feature is designed to de-energize the solar array to a safe voltage whenever the inverter or grid is shutdown, protecting your property as well as installers, electricians, and firefighters.

Real-World Success Stories
Arpa Industriale site
Installer: Biotech Energia
Location: Italy
Installed Capacity: 2.55 MWp

The aim of the project is to reduce the impact on the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, obtaining in addition a considerable energy saving. In fact, the system should save money to the company about 18% of its requirements, calculated on the final balance  2018. In reality, things got even better. From January to October, productivity was higher to initial estimates for a volume of + 10.4%.

Granulati Basaltici site
Installer: CS Group
Location: Italy
Installed Capacity: 1499kWp

Our company needed to build a photovoltaic system to try to save on the electricity bill, we relied on CS Group S.r.l. after analyzing other competitors, because he proposed this new technology from SolarEdge. We did not know the optimizers to improve the efficiency of each single panel, the safety they offer as soon as a problem of overvoltage, overheating and disconnection of the electrical network arises.
And finally the application that allows you wherever you are to meticulously control the entire photovoltaic park from panels to Power Optimizers to inverters; to be able to view the performance of the entire system at any time and analyze the anomalies of each single zone.
All this goes into productivity and therefore a faster economic return on the investment sustained, which for an entrepreneur is certainly the most he can ask for from an investment.

Molino San Paolo Site
Installer: CS Group
Location: Italy
Installed Capacity: 448.9kWp

We chose to use SolarEdge in our plant because we were not satisfied with the system installed in our first plant at Molitoria San Paolo Spa. We wanted to have the best in terms of performance and reliability as they fully reflect our business characteristics. This choice has allowed us to optimize the available space to the maximum, guaranteeing excellent production performance.

To.Da. Caffè Factory
Installer: CS Group
Location: Italy
Installed Capacity: 441.5 kWp

We chose SE because it was recommended by the company C.S. Group Srl. After having illustrated the system we have understood the great technological value in terms of efficiency, reliability and yield. In terms of safety, even the innovative system that protects the roof of our shed from fires due to photovoltaics has made us learn that all SolarEdge technology is a unique system in the world.

Audi Field, D.C United
Installer: New Columbia Solar
Location: United States
Installed Capacity: 627.8kW

When we opened Audi Field in 2018, we made a commitment to reduce our environmental impact and mitigate climate change. New Columbia Solar’s best-in-class installation using SolarEdge products strengthens our position as one of the most environmentally-friendly entertainment destinations in Washington, D.C. We are excited to get smarter about our energy and lead the way for other soccer clubs around the globe.

East side forest reaches 30m high and the site gets partial shading by 10am in winter.  SolarEdge system mitigates it and increases yield with 3% more.
There are farmers working under PV modules, which accompanies a risk of electrocution by cutting electric wire etc., but SolarEdge SafeDC function protects farmers.
SolarEdge system has a module level monitoring function, which allows us to do fine-tuned operation and maintenance.

How Solar Works and Why SolarEdge Works Better

PV modules generate electrical power by converting solar radiation into direct current (DC). Inverters then convert the DC power to alternative current (AC) used to power homes and businesses.

Inverters costs up to 20% of the overall solar energy system but manage 100% of the system production. Therefore, inverter selection is critical for the long-term financial performance of a PV system as it can maximize energy production and reduce lifetime costs.

How Solar Works and Why SolarEdge Works Better

Why SolarEdge Works Better: More Power. More Visibility. More Safety.

Here’s where SolarEdge does things a bit differently. Our Power Optimizers are directly connected to each module and turn the “dumb” modules into smart modules? The Power Optimizers increase energy output from your PV system by constantly tracking the maximum power point (MPPT) of each module individually. The performance information of each module is communicated to the SolarEdge monitoring platform to facilitate remote diagnostics and maintenance.

Each power optimizer is equipped with our unique SafeDC™ feature, designed to automatically reduce the modules' DC voltage to a safe level whenever the inverter or grid power is shut down.  This is crucial for installation, maintenance, and emergency situations.

More power. More visibility. More safety.
